Chairman, FCT Committee on Food & Nutrition (CFN) and Director, Admin & Finance, Economic Planning, Revenue Generation & Public Private Partnership, Secretariat, Mr. Prospect Ibe C., ably represented by Director, Economic Planning Department, EPRGPPP, Mrs. Joy Uzodimma, addressing guests, participants and other key stakeholders, while declaring open the Committee’s meeting at the Conference Hall of the EPRGPPPS, today, 8th September, 2023.

The session provided an update on the status of Nutrition Implementation Planned activities from the various Secretariats, Departments, and Agencies (SDAs) of the FCT Administration.

The FCT-CFN programme is in partnership with Integrated Health Programme (IHP) of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and Global Alliance for Food & Nutrition (GAAN), and FCT Primary Health Care Development Agency.

The forum conducted a postmortem evaluation on critical human development issues relating to food & nutrition, community health matters, communicable diseases, Water, Sanitation & Hiegene (WASH), breastfeeding & child mortality and other family health challenges in the FCT. The meeting also provided a veritable platform for relevant stakeholders to discuss extensively and provide strategies for strengthening health systems as well as increased access to and improvement in the quality of integrated primary health care and sustainable development issues.

Participants at the forum were drawn from various SDAs of the FCTA.
